The sequel to 1994's Dumb and Dumber hits theaters this weekend with Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels reprising their roles for Dumb and Dumber To. It's taken 20 years for this sequel to happen, but it's actually not the first attempt to bring the idiocy of Harry and Lloyd back to the big (and small) screen. 2003 saw the release of the prequel film, Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry met Lloyd, which tanked at the box office and failed to capture any of the magic of the 1994 original. So, take a trip through the hot mess that was the half-assed sequel to the hilarious original.

Can Carrey and Daniels recapture the magic with the sequel this weekend? Let's hope they do better than this one...
